ABOUT THE ROLE
The ideal candidate will deliver first-line technical support to end users while escalating complex issues as necessary. You will assist in managing the technology that our designers depend on to create innovative design solutions for top health, education, and business organizations. This position is an IT generalist role, requiring knowledge or a willingness to learn about all IT-related activities within the office, sourcing solutions from vendors, and escalating issues within the IT team as needed.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide comprehensive support for local and remote users, with approximately 70% of responsibilities involving level 1, level 2, and level 3 support tickets and troubleshooting.
- Manage application support, configuration, and maintenance of architecture and engineering-specific applications, serving as the liaison between end users, other IT personnel, and application vendors.
- Oversee the Service Desk for ticket management, monitor backup systems, and generate daily reports including file restorations.
- Consult with users to assess current and future technology needs.
- Identify areas requiring upgrades in end user equipment.
- Monitor system performance, implement security measures, and conduct troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Set up and modify user accounts, regulating file access to ensure confidentiality and proper use.
- Test and evaluate hardware and software for efficiency and reliability.
- Participate in vendor training and stay informed on technological advancements through industry journals.
- Maintain network server files by adding and deleting files to ensure data safety during network issues.
- Oversee the maintenance of peripherals such as network-connected printers.
- Create and modify user accounts and groups in Active Directory, including login credentials and user accounts.
- Manage permissions, modify, and delete extensions and mailboxes, along with phone systems.
- Local travel to additional sites may be required.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant IT experience is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
- Microsoft Windows desktop and Server certifications are a plus, but not mandatory.
