Qualifications
Qualifications:A CASA/EASA (or equivalent) B1 and/or B2 license with a B787-9 and/or A380 type rating.At least 7 years of LAME/Certification experience with a focus on leading line and/or heavy maintenance operations within the aviation sector.Proven track record of leading, motivating, and coordinating large teams across shifts.Exceptional decision-making capabilities with a knack for managing competing priorities under pressure.Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities, emphasizing safety, compliance, and performance delivery.Comprehensive understanding of aviation regulatory frameworks (FAA, CASA, EASA, Cal/OSHA) and airworthiness standards.Strong communication skills to effectively influence personnel at all levels.In-depth operational knowledge of Qantas group aircraft, systems, and maintenance protocols.Proficient in utilizing operational systems and tools (e.g., dashboards, maintenance tracking, reporting platforms).

As a Service Engineer, you will lead and manage an on-shift team of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) and Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (LAMEs) in daily maintenance operations. Your responsibilities will include workload allocation, ensuring the airworthiness of the Qantas fleet, optimizing aircraft availability, and managing on-time performance and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery.
