JOB SUMMARY
As a Shift Leader at Ruby Tuesday, you will play a vital role in guiding the daily operations of our restaurant. Your responsibilities will include mentoring, training, and leading Team Members while ensuring that every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience. A professional demeanor is essential. You will support the management team in coaching and developing Team Members to enhance sales and profitability, oversee expense management, address Guest complaints, and uphold sanitation, safety, and food quality standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain regular attendance as scheduled.
- Deliver outstanding service by exemplifying our CHARM and CARE principles.
- Collaborate with management on recruitment, training, and consistent communication with Team Members.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and comply with state and federal wage and hour regulations.
- Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and in good working order.
- Oversee key processes including line checks, food safety protocols, and preparation lists.
- Ensure food is prepared to specifications regarding portion size, preparation methods, and presentation.
- Assist management with the implementation of new initiatives, including product and menu launches.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the General Manager, the Shift Leader supervises a team of 15 to 25 members.
