Shift Patterns and Salary:
4ON 4OFF 18:00pm-06:00am - £40,651 per annum.
As a Shunter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of trailers in and out of loading bays and, when necessary, transporting shunt loads between locations according to company standards and operational guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Position trailers in designated areas as directed.
Utilize two-way radios for effective communication across operational areas.
Conduct safety checks as per company requirements.
Promptly report any defects, accidents, or incidents encountered.
Ensure refrigeration units are set to appropriate temperatures based on product requirements.
Maintain adequate fuel levels in fridge diesel tanks.
Communicate with professionalism and respect towards colleagues.
Report any violations of speed limits by drivers and subcontractors to the transport department.
Maintain cleanliness of vehicle parking areas and report debris to the site services team.
Uphold company hygiene and housekeeping standards in your work areas.
Adhere to Health & Safety legislation.
