Shift Patterns and Salary:
- 4ON 4OFF Days - £33,604 per annum.
As a Shunter, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient movement of trailers in and out of loading bays. Your responsibilities will include delivering shunt loads between designated locations as per company standards and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Position trailers accurately as per operational instructions.
- Communicate effectively using two-way radios to maintain coordination with various operational areas.
- Conduct safety checks as per company guidelines.
- Promptly report any defects, accidents, or incidents.
- Maintain fridges at the correct temperatures in accordance with product specifications.
- Ensure diesel tanks for fridges are sufficiently fueled at all times.
- Exhibit professionalism and courtesy in all communications with colleagues.
- Report any violations of speed limits by drivers and subcontractors to the transport department.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper layout of vehicle parking areas, reporting any debris to the site services team.
- Uphold company hygiene and housekeeping standards in your work areas.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety legislation.
