Role Overview:
As we expand our global network of cutting-edge ground stations, we seek a Simulation Engineer to spearhead the design and modeling of our network architecture. You will develop analytical tools that provide insights into network planning and site optimization, addressing critical questions like the optimal number of antennas per site and strategic site placements worldwide. Collaboration with business development, rollout teams, RF experts, and software developers will be key in this influential role, driving the future of our global operations. This position is based at our Los Angeles headquarters, with occasional travel to customer and ground station sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and enhance internal simulation tools to model and visualize Northwood’s global ground network.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to convert mission requirements into scalable network designs.
Maximize revenue and operational efficiency by optimizing network capacity and site performance.
Make decisive network design choices, including antenna configurations and deployment timelines.
Provide data-driven insights and actionable plans to engineering and operations teams.
Present network strategies and investment proposals to executive leadership, aligning with revenue and deployment objectives.
