We are seeking a dynamic Site Manager to join our expanding European Data Centre operations team in Madrid. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all operations at our state-of-the-art Data Centre Campus, collaborating closely with the Critical Environments Manager and the Site Operations Manager.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading your team and vendor partners to ensure the success of a sustainable Data Centre Campus.
- Guaranteeing compliance with global standards, local regulations, and internal policies.
- Managing local teams and liaising with regional operations.
- Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and OEMs.
- Responding to site emergencies outside of office hours on a rotational basis (every three weeks).
- Overseeing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) initiatives at the campus.
- Managing the Profit & Loss (P&L) for the Data Centre.
- Conducting customer reporting and meetings.
- Ensuring customer processes are integrated into our workflows.
- Enhancing customer satisfaction through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Acting as the primary contact for local clients, addressing any inquiries they may have.
You will report directly to the Lead Data Centre Operations for Continental Europe.
Do you see yourself in this role?
- Technical degree in a relevant field.
- Over 10 years of experience in Data Centre operations, particularly with global clients.
- Demonstrated experience managing a Data Centre with a capacity exceeding 2 MW.
- Strong technical proficiency in UPS, HVAC, power distribution, network technologies, etc.
- Adept at thriving in fast-paced environments.
- Exemplary ownership and initiative.
- Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team engagement and results.
- Skilled in managing critical situations effectively.
- Capability to manage a variety of external suppliers and services.
- Knowledgeable about industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Fluent communication skills in English and Spanish.
