Your Role:
If you are an experienced and motivated Generator Technician eager to advance your career in a dynamic and fast-paced telecommunications environment, Pearce offers the perfect opportunity! In this role, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing commercial generators at cell phone towers within your region. This position is ideal for proactive, self-driven individuals who are open to travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of generators, including the installation and replacement of components as well as additional maintenance or upgrades for out-of-season equipment.
- Conduct performance checks and carry out routine maintenance to ensure generators are ready for operation, while interpreting blueprints and design specifications for installations and repairs.
- Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring, and controls, testing for optimal functionality.
- Respond promptly to Power/Generator alarms; availability for 24/7 on-call duties as needed, ensuring timely communication via phone and email.
- Work with a strong awareness of safety hazards associated with power supply equipment installation and maintenance, including falls, electrical shocks, and other risks; adhere to safety protocols and participate in all required safety training sessions.
