Join our client in the search for a talented Social Content Editor who will take charge of editing and optimizing social-first content across various platforms. In this dynamic role, you will transform raw footage into captivating, high-performing content designed specifically for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
Your contributions will be vital in the content flywheel—editing, optimizing, and refining materials that not only resonate with the target audience but also align with brand voice, platform best practices, and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
- Edit social-first content with a quick turnaround time of 24–48 hours.
- Optimize edits to enhance visibility on platform-specific algorithms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, YouTube Shorts).
- Convert long-form content into multiple engaging short clips.
- Utilize social-first editing techniques including trending audio, impactful hooks, pacing, and visual storytelling.
- Integrate captions, motion graphics, and animation layers to boost viewer engagement.
- Craft strong opening hooks tailored for each platform.
- Review and refine UGC scripts and creator briefs prior to production.
- Ensure all content adheres to brand voice and guidelines.
- Collaborate asynchronously with social and brand teams to quickly iterate based on feedback.
- Maintain consistency with content calendars and agreed SLAs.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and applicable marketing or regulatory guidelines.
- Proofread and enhance all social-facing copy (CTAs, captions, hashtags, alt text, etc.).
- Identify and propose trending formats, sounds, and content ideas pertinent to the target audience.
- Apply brand style guidelines uniformly across all content.
- Provide light strategic insights on content performance and recommend optimizations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in editing social-first content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Strong grasp of platform algorithms, trends, and performance enhancers.
- Proficiency with video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, Final Cut, etc.).
- Experience with UGC content and creator-led campaigns.
- A robust understanding of storytelling, pacing, and hook creation.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines (24–48 hours).
- Excellent attention to detail, including grammar, tone, and brand consistency.
- Familiarity with brand guidelines and maintaining a consistent voice.
- Comfortable collaborating asynchronously with remote teams.
- Bonus: Experience in parenting, wellness, or other regulated industries.
