Your Role
We are seeking a dynamic Lead Backend Engineer to join our Customer Experience Platform team, dedicated to building a top-tier Customer Support platform. With Whatnot's rapid expansion, we encounter a significant influx of complex support inquiries, addressing technical, purchasing, and logistics challenges for both buyers and sellers. Our team is tasked with swiftly and reliably resolving these issues while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
In this role, you will create innovative user-facing experiences, enhance internal infrastructure, and devise intelligent AI-driven automations to efficiently tackle thousands of customer queries each hour.
You will lead solutions from conception to execution, converting ambiguous business challenges into precise technical solutions, and spearheading delivery and experimentation. Your responsibilities will also include creative problem-solving to harmonize development speed, product impact, and technical excellence.
We offer the flexibility to work remotely or from any of our global office hubs, valuing in-person collaboration for planning, problem-solving, and building connections. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of our hubs in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, or Seattle.
