THE ROLE
In the role of Software Engineer Intern, you will engage in a significant project that will directly impact the evolution of data storage and cloud technologies. You will take full ownership of your project from conceptualization through to delivery, working closely with seasoned mentors and cross-functional teams to address complex challenges. This is your opportunity to gain invaluable real-world development experience while making a substantial contribution to a product utilized by thousands of customers worldwide.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Oversee the entire development cycle of your assigned project, which includes gathering requirements, technical design, implementation, and thorough testing, while consistently updating your mentor and team on progress.
- Design and implement new features, optimizations, or infrastructure tools for Pure’s core platform, driving measurable enhancements in product performance, stability, and operational efficiency.
- Create comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure the functionality of your solutions, maintaining a high standard of product reliability with zero regressions.
- Engage actively in design discussions and code reviews with senior engineers to hone your architectural skills and ensure adherence to top-tier engineering standards and best practices.
- This is primarily an in-office role, and you will be expected to work at our Santa Clara, CA office, in line with Pure’s policies, except during PTO or approved leave.
