The Role
As a Solutions Engineer, your primary responsibility will be managing the technical aspects of the sales process, identifying customer needs, and effectively positioning our solutions to address those requirements. You will leverage your expertise to communicate our value proposition to clients through engaging presentations, live demonstrations, and successful proof-of-concept evaluations.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct compelling solution presentations and demonstrations to prospective and existing clients.
- Foster strong technical relationships with current customers through Quarterly Technical Reviews.
- Assist with the preparation of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Represent BeyondTrust at trade shows, seminars, and various corporate events.
- Utilize common Sales and Marketing tools, including Salesforce, Confluence, and Skytap.
- Support technical evaluations of our products, including the creation of Proof-of-Concept Success Plans.
- Provide ongoing support for BeyondTrust partners.
- Continuously expand your knowledge of BeyondTrust products and industry trends.
What You’ll Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (Information Systems) or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience as a pre-sales engineer and/or support engineer in privileged access management or a similar enterprise application such as IAM, SIEM, ITDR, etc.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working for global software vendors.
- Ability to clearly articulate product differentiators in comparison to competitors.
- Prior experience presenting security products at trade shows and security conferences.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Mac, Linux/Unix, Active Directory, SQL, etc.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Familiarity with VMware and Hyper-V virtual environments.
Nice To Have
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CCSP, CEH.
- Experience in building, supporting, and selling security solutions is preferred.
- Prior experience with BeyondTrust products.
