About the job
Are you a passionate sound engineering professional eager to innovate in the realm of artificial intelligence? As large-scale language models transition from simple chatbots to sophisticated audio tools, we are seeking your expertise to enhance the future of AI technology. High-quality training data is essential for developing AI that aids engineers in crafting studio systems, optimizing acoustics, and addressing real-world production challenges on a grand scale. This is where your knowledge comes into play—join us in powering the next generation of AI.
We are on the lookout for sound engineering specialists who excel in live sound reinforcement, microphone techniques, signal flow, acoustics, mixing consoles, audio interfaces, and sound system calibration. Your role will involve testing advanced language models on topics such as gain staging, PA tuning, time alignment, routing and patching, impedance matching, analog-to-digital conversion, and broadcast audio standards, meticulously documenting every failure mode to strengthen model reasoning.
On a typical day, you will engage in discussions with the model regarding intricate audio system designs and troubleshooting scenarios, ensuring engineering accuracy, pinpointing gaps in signal-chain logic, and suggesting enhancements to prompt structures and evaluation methods.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sound Engineering, Acoustical Engineering, Electrical Engineering (with an audio focus), or a related field. Proven hands-on experience with live sound rigs, studio installations, broadcast setups, or touring productions will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with tools such as Dante Controller, Smaart, QLab, and mixing consoles from Yamaha, Avid, or Allen & Heath is advantageous. Clear and structured communication, particularly in demonstrating your signal path, is crucial.
Are you ready to leverage your sound engineering expertise to shape the backbone of tomorrow’s AI? Apply today and be part of the evolution of audio technology.
