Key Responsibilities
As the sous chef, you will be the right hand of our head chef and will take charge of the kitchen in their absence. You will ensure the quality of our dishes, optimally manage the kitchen team, and facilitate a smooth operation. Your responsibilities will include leading the team, brainstorming new menu items, and maintaining high standards throughout the kitchen.
Your main tasks will include:
Leading the kitchen team (including dishwashing staff) in the chef's absence.
Maintaining top-quality standards from ingredients to final plating.
Placing orders and liaising with suppliers.
Contributing to menu development, testing new recipes, and sharing your culinary ideas.
Checking invoices, managing inventory, and ensuring the kitchen operates within budget.
Creating staff schedules, managing personnel matters, and training new team members.
Vigilantly adhering to hygiene and safety regulations.
Who You Are
You have kitchen experience, ideally as a sous chef or junior sous chef with aspirations for growth.
You thrive under pressure, are organized, and know how to motivate a team.
You possess a keen eye for detail and a passion for hospitality.
Knowledge of HACCP and kitchen processes is essential.
You are a team player, yet you are not afraid to take the lead.
