Qualifications
U.S. citizenship is mandatory.Must possess a valid driver's license.Ability to carry and use a firearm; maintaining proficiency is essential.Applicants must be at least 21 years old and under 40 at the time of referral, with exceptions for current or prior federal law enforcement service.Top Secret Clearance is required and must be maintained throughout your career.Visual acuity must be no worse than 20/100 binocular, with corrected vision of 20/20 in each eye.Hearing loss must not exceed 25 decibels in specified frequency ranges.Must pass a drug test prior to appointment and submit to random drug testing thereafter.Complete 13 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and 18 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center.Willingness to accept assignments anywhere in the U.S. or overseas as outlined in a mobility agreement.Males born after December 31, 1959 must register with the Selective Service System or be exempt.
