Qualifications
Requirements:Must be a U.S. citizen.Possess a current valid driver’s license.Ability to carry and use a firearm; maintaining firearm proficiency is required.Applicants must be at least 21 years old at the time of application and under 40 at referral. Exceptions apply for applicants with current or prior service in federal law enforcement roles with special retirement provisions. Age is deemed essential for this role.Must obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance throughout your career.Uncorrected visual acuity must not exceed 20/100 binocular; corrected visual acuity must be 20/20 or better in each eye.Hearing loss, measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear across the 500, 1000, and 2000Hz ranges.Pass a drug test prior to appointment and submit to random drug testing during employment.Complete 13 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA, followed by 18 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.Sign a mobility agreement indicating willingness to accept assignments anywhere in the U.S. and overseas.Certify registration with the Selective Service System, if applicable.
