Role Overview
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Fortis, you will play a crucial role in developing our exciting Original IP. You'll collaborate closely with a talented team of game designers, artists, and engineers throughout all development phases, from initial concept to final launch, ensuring a robust multiplayer experience that will resonate with players for years to come.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and implement game features from prototype to live operations, maintaining quality and stability throughout the entire lifecycle.
- Develop and manage scalable CI/CD pipelines to enhance development and deployment efficiency.
- Analyze backend systems to diagnose and resolve intricate bugs and optimize performance.
- Conduct backend load testing to guarantee the game infrastructure supports high volumes of concurrent players.
- Work alongside client-side engineers to establish secure, server-authoritative gameplay systems.
- Build and maintain DevOps processes within a cloud environment, primarily utilizing AWS services.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation to effectively communicate design decisions and system architecture to the broader team.
- Contribute to the establishment of engineering standards by adhering to and refining development guidelines and quality assurance practices.
