About the Role
We are on the lookout for a Staff Back-End Engineer to act as a technical beacon within our engineering organization. In this position, you will do more than just deliver features; you will shape the architectural patterns, infrastructure standards, and engineering practices that enable our team to scale efficiently.
Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will function as a strategic individual contributor, collaborating across various domains. You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams to convert ambiguous business requirements into robust distributed systems that facilitate genuine financial workflows.
This role is critical during a transformative period for Cube. As our platform grows in complexity and scale, we seek someone who can enhance system design, bolster long-term reliability, and help define excellence in engineering throughout the organization.
You will take charge of intricate initiatives from inception to completion, influencing infrastructure, deployment strategies, observability practices, and the long-term health of our systems. This is a unique opportunity to establish scalable engineering foundations, reusable abstractions, and internal frameworks that will accelerate the entire team’s productivity.
