Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous, dependable, and innovative Staff Process Engineer to spearhead and support process design initiatives for both new and existing facilities. This role involves analyzing, calculating, and designing new or upgraded process equipment in refinery, chemical, and various industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead field and technical assessments of current process units.
• Conduct calculations, develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), create design documentation for downstream engineering disciplines, and formulate equipment specifications while compiling comprehensive scope of work packages for construction.
• Facilitate client and contractor interactions, attend project meetings, and generate detailed written reports.
• Provide expert technical support for field execution, particularly during outage and turnaround projects.
• Assist in planning for constructability, proposal development, and cost estimation.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years in a relevant field.
• Licensure: Professional Engineer (P. E.) license is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in P&ID development, heat and material balances, hydraulic and equipment sizing calculations, relief device sizing, API standards, and ASME codes is required. Familiarity with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) is a plus.
• Management: Proven experience mentoring and leading small teams is required.
• Additional Skills: Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication abilities.

• Physical mobility (on the ground and at heights).
• Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Capability to work at heights, ascend ladders and stairways, and occasionally work off platforms/scaffolding/ladders while utilizing the required fall protection.
