Your Role
As a Staff Software Engineer in the Gemini App Response Quality team, you will:
- Be a key contributor in ensuring the Gemini App delivers accurate, reliable responses tailored to various user segments and key interactions. You will act as the primary engineering point of contact for quality enhancement initiatives, guaranteeing responses are effective, precise, and useful across various user intents.
- Analyze user pain points and behavioral data to inform a strategic quality improvement roadmap. Collaborate with the Gemini Model team, Product Managers, and UX Researchers to align model capabilities with impactful user experiences.
- Lead the development of response frameworks for sensitive topics, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all users, particularly younger audiences, to engage with AI technology responsibly.
Your Profile
We seek proactive individuals who excel in ambiguous situations and are committed to driving projects forward. To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in developing or evaluating large language model products.
- A proven track record as a Tech Lead, demonstrating leadership in guiding a team.
- Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
- Strong programming expertise in Java, C++, or Python within production environments.
