The Store Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the store during the absence of the Store Director.
- Oversee store activities to achieve sales, profit, and expense objectives.
- Directly manage the Grocery, Drug, and Fresh Departments to ensure optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a customer-centric environment by delivering exceptional personalized service and resolving any customer issues in the Store Director's absence.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to all store associates, including training Department Managers and staff.
- Conduct interviews and select candidates for grocery and drug department roles.
- Ensure the store's profitability through effective cost control practices and thorough analysis of P&L statements.
- Maintain proper merchandising standards by adhering to schematics and merchandising guidelines, participating in all store initiatives to boost sales and customer satisfaction.
- Determine staffing needs based on sales forecasts and market conditions, effectively scheduling associates accordingly.
- Manage inventory levels across departments, establishing procedures to maintain optimal stock.
