As the Store Manager, your role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the store in the absence of the Store Director. You will oversee and coordinate store activities to meet total sales, profit, and expense objectives. This position includes direct management of the Grocery, Drug, and Fresh Departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a customer-centric environment by promoting personalized customer service and resolving customer relation issues in the Store Director's absence.
- Provide leadership and guidance to all store associates, including training and supervising Department Managers.
- Conduct interviews and select candidates for grocery and drug department positions.
- Accountable for the store's profitability by implementing effective cost control measures and analyzing P&L statements.
- Ensure effective merchandising by adhering to schematics and merchandising protocols, participating in activities aimed at maximizing sales and customer satisfaction.
- Assess labor requirements based on current and anticipated sales and market conditions, scheduling associates accordingly.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels across departments by establishing and following inventory management procedures.
