About the Role
Goody is on the lookout for a seasoned and strategic Data Analyst to become an essential part of our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the VP of Growth and collaborating closely with our data engineering team, you will be responsible for developing reliable, reusable data models and metrics that drive effective decision-making throughout the organization, including key areas such as Growth, Finance, and Product. Your data models will be crucial in extracting valuable insights, guiding our overall company strategy.

What You’ll Do
Design and manage business-critical metrics including definitions, edge cases, and documentation.
Create clean, reusable SQL models that serve as source-of-truth datasets.
Collaborate with stakeholders to transform ambiguous inquiries into clear analytical outcomes.
Develop self-service datasets and streamlined reporting mechanisms enabling teams to address questions independently.
Enhance data integrity through sanity checks, reconciliations, and quality monitoring as feasible.
Contribute to analytics best practices including naming conventions, documentation, and metric governance.
Must-Have Skills / Experience
5–6 years of experience in analytics, data analysis, or analytics engineering.
Proficient in SQL: capable of modeling data effectively, managing edge cases, optimizing queries, and articulating logic.
Adept at defining metrics and advocating for clarity in decision-making processes.
Exceptional communication skills: able to engage with non-technical stakeholders and produce clear documentation.
Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with DBT or similar transformation tools.
Knowledge of experimentation, funnels, retention, and attribution methodologies beneficial for Growth.
Basic Python skills for analysis (not mandatory).
Experience with data quality tools and monitoring.
