The Strategic Sourcing Manager will play a crucial role in collaborating with the business to effectively manage spending and identify opportunities within assigned categories. You will be responsible for developing category sourcing strategies and working alongside cross-functional teams to implement the sourcing and supplier management strategy.
Your focus will be on Technology categories, which may include Software, Infrastructure as a Service, and associated services, ensuring you meet departmental and functional objectives. A strong sense of urgency and the ability to drive effective resolutions are essential.
This role requires a customer-centric mindset, with an emphasis on analytical skills, category expertise, and a genuine passion for fostering innovation and creating value. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of the customer experience.
Experience with strategic sourcing methodologies related to indirect procurement categories is vital, as you will perform market and spend analysis, partner with the business to create a category roadmap, lead sourcing activities, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance through scorecards and quarterly business reviews.
Responsibilities include:
- Communicating the mission of Strategic Sourcing and educating internal stakeholders at every level.
- Developing and executing Sourcing Strategies for assigned categories.
- Collaborating with internal and external partners to create adaptable outsourcing models that include scopes, deliverables, metrics, and governance frameworks.
- Leading the Technology Life Cycle processes, including industry analysis, supplier evaluations, RFP development, supplier selection, Sourcing Recommendations, and Statement of Work (SOW) development and execution.
- Thinking strategically and operationally while managing multiple categories and fostering internal client relationships.
- Acting as a Commercial Advisor to internal stakeholders, offering insights on market conditions, operational risks, supplier selection, and favorable contractual terms.
- Maintaining a strong external focus and developing robust relationships with external partners.
