As the Structural Manager, you will spearhead and oversee the Structures division, ensuring alignment with Harland & Wolff's strategic objectives and policies. Your role will involve enhancing knowledge and operational efficiency within the Structures area to effectively meet all program requirements.
The Role
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
- Exemplify preventive leadership.
- Coordinate the formulation of annual Prevention and Environmental plans for the Structures division, ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
Resource Management
- Assist the Operations Director in managing the productive resources within your domain.
- Oversee and monitor budget allocations (U.P.A. and P.O.A.), expenses, project timelines, workload, and underactivity within your area of responsibility.
- Facilitate the coordination of Structures area activities for each project/program executed by Harland & Wolff, ensuring compliance with established quality standards and methodologies.
- Manage production in the Structures scope, recommend hiring to meet production demands exceeding shipyard capacity, and supervise subcontracted work.
Technical and Quality Assurance
- Develop and implement the Structures Policy/Plan for all projects/programs executed by Harland & Wolff.
- Provide technical support for all structural matters related to programs.
- Drive improvements in production processes associated with structural disciplines, advocating for continuous improvement, technology adoption, and personnel training.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, and Operations during the contracting process by preparing specifications and technical evaluations.
- Propose enhancements related to personnel organization, infrastructure, and investment to optimize area functionality.
- Establish and refine necessary Procedures for project/program execution.
- Ensure Quality Management System (QMS) compliance and communication within your area of responsibility.
