We are seeking a Software Development Intern to contribute to our operations, billing, and application development initiatives. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates eager to gain hands-on experience in software development within the dynamic transportation and logistics sector.
This position is based at our Hammond terminal.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support the development and optimization of internal applications that enhance business operations.
- Collaborate with billing and operations teams to create tools that improve efficiency.
- Contribute to the enhancement of mobile and web applications utilized by both customers and staff.
- Work alongside the IT team to troubleshoot, test, and implement new software solutions.
- Assist with API integrations, database management, and automation of systems.
- Engage in meetings with stakeholders to identify and understand business needs.
What We Seek:
- Current student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, Python, or other programming languages.
- Understanding of database management (SQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is advantageous.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities paired with a passion for technology.
