Are you seeking a distinctive summer experience that allows you to contribute to the community, forge lasting relationships, and immerse yourself in the South Bend area like never before? Join the Alumni Association as a Student Program Leader at the Family Volunteer Camp!
This initiative invites alumni and their families from around the globe to return to campus for a week-long program centered on community service. Our notable partners include the Food Bank of Northern Indiana, Hope Ministries, the YWCA, Habitat for Humanity, and Unity Gardens. Participants will engage in community-building activities, prayer, and educational sessions while enjoying the unique amenities of our campus. There are nine positions available.
As a Student Program Leader, you will act as the primary group leader at various service project sites. Your responsibilities will include establishing collaborative relationships with several nonprofit organizations, overseeing daily projects, ensuring that volunteers are engaged in meaningful tasks, confirming project completion according to the agencies’ requirements, and assisting participants in understanding the missions of these agencies and the communities they serve.
Additionally, you will represent the University as an ambassador on behalf of the Alumni Association. You will participate in group activities and be expected to engage alumni and their children in significant conversations. Logistical and administrative support for preparing and leading each camp will also be part of your role.
This position is ideal for current college students or recent graduates who:

All meals will be provided during working hours, and housing will be arranged for non-local candidates.
This commitment begins on campus on July 5, 2026, and concludes on July 24, 2026.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Engage in Camp activities from Sunday through Thursday.
- Lead families through daily worksite activities.
- Organize and attend evening social events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
