Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory, including the management of on-site stock levels and spare parts.
· Process repairs and manage stock through various tasks including receiving, organizing, and delivering component parts for technicians.
· Oversee vendor inventory and manage material budgets, proposing adjustments to stock levels for better inventory control.
· Handle requisitions, monitor stock levels, and input data into the tracking system while ensuring timely delivery of materials.
· Maintain a cross-reference system for efficient usage and keep track of nonconforming parts.
· Collaborate with departmental managers to adhere to budgetary constraints.
· Aid in resolving inventory discrepancies and partake in physical inventory audits with accounting teams.
· Engage in training programs to enhance purchasing professionalism and management skills.
· Research and evaluate potential vendors for plant-level services.
· Support the purchasing team in sourcing hard-to-find components.
· Recommend strategies for reducing slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
· Follow up on overdue orders and implement activities to minimize purchasing and invoice issues.
· Develop and maintain an aggressive cost reduction program, reporting progress to management.
· Assist Customer Service and Operations teams with parts transactions.
· Submit claims to OEMs for warranty replacements of defective parts.
