Role Overview:
We are seeking our inaugural Surgical Team Coordinator. This hybrid position is ideal for an individual who excels in both clinical and administrative environments. You will serve as the operational backbone for a dedicated surgical team, collaborating closely with a board-certified surgeon and managing a motivated clinical staff. Your responsibilities will include managing appointments, supporting patient care, and assisting in procedures as necessary.

Your Responsibilities
Clinical and Appointment Management
- Conduct patient appointments, including history taking, intake, and client communication
- Assist with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments as required
- Support workflows for pre-operative and post-operative care
- Engage in hands-on patient care, restraint, and basic technical procedures
- Ensure precise and timely documentation of medical records
Surgical Team Coordination
- Serve as the primary coordinator for the surgeon and their clinical team
- Manage the daily scheduling of appointments, procedures, rechecks, and follow-ups
- Ensure all cases are fully prepared in advance (including labs, imaging, history, and estimates)
- Proactively gather missing information before it becomes an issue
- Keep the team organized, punctual, and functioning efficiently throughout the day
Surgeon Support
- Prepare the veterinarian for consultations with well-organized case summaries
- Anticipate needs prior to appointments and procedures
- Assist with client communication workflows and discharge planning
- Act as the primary problem solver for any potential scheduling disruptions
