Join us as a Sustainability Intern for Summer 2026 at Landscape Forms, where you will play a pivotal role in driving positive change within the manufacturing industry! This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, applying strategic initiatives and impact assessment methodologies in a real-world setting, aiming for both immediate improvements and sustainable long-term benefits.
Over the course of this twelve-week, full-time internship, you will work on-site at our Kalamazoo, Michigan facility, collaborating closely with our sustainability lead. The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent communication skills, fostering effective cross-departmental collaboration.
Your Contributions
As part of this position, you will learn and apply essential skills in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), and Sustainability Reporting. Interns will dedicate half of their time to supporting LCA and manufacturers' disclosures, a quarter of their time to exploring improvement pathways in specialized focus areas, and the remaining time to advancing sustainability initiatives in areas such as decarbonization, site stewardship, and waste diversion.

Experience Gained:
- Development of Environmental Product Declarations
- Working with material and product data
- Manufacturers’ disclosures
- Strategic initiatives deployment and collaboration
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in data collection and logging for Life Cycle Assessment and Embodied Carbon Reduction
- Support the EPD Program Operator Consultant and Engineering Team
- Monitor progress against targets outlined in the Sustainability Roadmap
- Research and develop improvement pathways for designated project areas
- Participate in weekly meetings, Champions updates, and Bi-Annual Scorecard Reviews
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
This opportunity is open to undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year, or Graduate Students in their second year, with a focus in Landscape Architecture, Manufacturing, Industrial or Product Design, Supply Chain, Life Cycle Assessment, or Sustainability Reporting.
