In this pivotal position, you will modernize the methods of capturing, integrating, and delivering laboratory and field data to our clients. Operating at the crossroads of laboratories, field operations, IT, and customer relations, your efforts will be crucial in transitioning outdated processes into automated, scalable, and client-oriented digital services.
Aligned with the SGS Laboratory Systems Specialist profile, this role is tailor-made for individuals passionate about enhancing systems, instilling best practices, and facilitating operational change through innovative technology.
This position offers flexible working arrangements within Australia, primarily based in one of our major laboratories. Expect a hybrid work model, requiring a minimum of three days a week in the office.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and optimization of LIMS and electronic data delivery solutions to support advanced laboratory operations.
- Facilitate secure, automated, and rules-based data exchanges between SGS systems and client platforms.
- Collaborate with laboratories, field teams, SGS IT, and commercial departments to overhaul data workflows, sampling schedules, and information structures.
- Act as a change agent, aiding the transition from manual or fragmented processes to standardized digital services.
- Serve as the primary systems contact for key clients, translating evolving data requirements into practical and compliant solutions.
- Utilize regulatory knowledge and industry standards to enhance data governance, compliance, and reporting quality.
- Define, monitor, and improve metrics related to system and data delivery performance.
- Create scalable documentation, procedures, and templates to ensure consistent national service delivery.
- Provide training and support for laboratory, field, and administrative teams on new systems, processes, and client communication models.
- Assist with non-routine and urgent sampling or testing needs during transitional periods.
