Join Focus Ireland as a Team Leader for Youth Housing in Cork!
As a vital member of our management team, you will play a key role in guiding the Cork Youth Services. This position involves not only leadership and management of our dedicated staff but also the opportunity to directly support a small caseload of young individuals in need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead our Cork Youth Service in alignment with Focus Ireland's core values, promoting a rights-based Housing First for Youth approach and emphasizing Family and Natural Supports.
- Provide strategic leadership to adapt the service effectively, collaborating with stakeholders, funders, and partners to meet the needs of vulnerable young people at risk of homelessness.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, quality service delivery, and high standards of professional ethics.
- Mentor and manage the staff team through effective communication and performance management, fostering a motivated and customer-focused work environment.
- Oversee the operational management of the Cork Youth Service, including housing management, maintenance, health and safety, and case management.
- Ensure compliance with Focus Ireland policies and best practice standards in all service delivery aspects.
- Facilitate effective partnerships with statutory and voluntary organizations, representing the service professionally.
- Manage housing access for young people, including vacancy management and allocation processes.
- Ensure all necessary administrative, reporting, and recording tasks are completed accurately and timely.
- Lead people management functions including recruitment, training, and staff development.
- Promote effective teamwork and collaboration across youth services in the South East region.
