About the job
Role Objective:
As a Technical Buyer, you will take charge of establishing and enhancing the technical procurement processes within the organization. Currently, there is no centralized management of CAPEX procurement; investments are handled in a decentralized manner across the organization. You will collaborate with internal clients and project managers to bring structure and ensure a coherent and effective approach.
Your responsibilities will include procuring technical investments such as machinery, production lines, and installations. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, setting up the procurement processes for these investments, determining supplier selection, and negotiating contracts, terms, and service agreements. Your goal will be to achieve the best balance between price, quality, reliability, and long-term collaboration.
In this position, you will collaborate intensively with production teams, technical services, internal clients, and project managers. You will act as a sparring partner, challenging stakeholders on their needs and specifications. In addition to focusing on CAPEX investments, you will also manage the procurement of technical and facility services and contracts.
About the Company
Fruity Line is a leading producer of fresh juices, smoothies, and shots for private label clients across Europe. Based in a modern production facility in Ochten, the company processes approximately 50 million liters of fresh fruit annually into high-quality end products. Through the use of High Pressure Processing (HPP), flavor, vitamins, and freshness are optimally preserved without heating or additives, making the product distinctive while demanding high standards for the production process.
Over the past 15 years, Fruity Line has grown into a prominent player in its segment, supplying customers in 26 European countries and undergoing a strong growth phase. This growth necessitates further automation, optimization of production capacity, and professionalization of processes, including technical procurement.
Fruity Line is currently transitioning from an entrepreneurial SME to a more structured and professionally organized company. This transformation presents challenges in process design and scalability while offering ample room for improvement and impact.
The company culture is hands-on, direct, and results-oriented, with short communication lines and strong engagement with the product and operations. Employees are encouraged to take initiative and actively contribute to the company’s further growth and professionalization in an environment where not everything is predetermined, and the future is actively being built.
