About the Role
As a Technical Recruiter at Exa, you will collaborate directly with the founders and leadership team to expand our innovative company. This role transcends traditional recruiting; you will leverage our proprietary AI-driven systems, developed from our own search engine, to enhance the recruitment process. Your contributions will not only help us assemble a world-class technical team but also shape the recruiting systems that enable our rapid growth. If you're well-versed in the San Francisco tech/startup landscape and can communicate effectively with engineers (coding skills are a plus), you'll excel in this role.
What You’ll Do
Manage the complete technical recruiting cycle: sourcing, outreach, interviews, and closing candidates.
Act as an ambassador for Exa, attracting elite engineers, researchers, and operators.
Collaborate with founders and team leaders to define roles and identify strategic hires.
Develop and refine recruiting systems and workflows utilizing Exa’s proprietary search tools.
Experiment with innovative sourcing strategies to differentiate ourselves in the competitive San Francisco startup ecosystem.
Influence Exa’s talent brand and recruiting culture as we experience rapid growth (1.5x+ headcount increase each quarter).
Desired Experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience in recruiting for technical positions within startups or high-growth tech firms.
Familiarity with the San Francisco startup environment, adept at identifying and attracting top-tier talent.
Exceptional communication skills—capable of articulating a compelling narrative and promoting a visionary goal.
Technical acumen (coding skills or a technical background are advantageous).
