This position is primarily remote, with a preference for candidates located in Northern BC, particularly the Prince George area, as regular on-site presence at project locations is essential.
As a Telecommunications Designer, you will play a crucial role in the development of fibre and copper network programs. Your responsibilities will encompass drafting and detailed design, requiring a technically proficient designer who can work independently while also supporting field validation and construction coordination.
The successful candidate will engage in outside plant (OSP) network design, conduct site assessments, and prepare construction-ready documentation to facilitate effective deployment of infrastructure across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft detailed OSP fibre and copper network designs
- Generate construction-ready drawings and documentation
- Assist in drafting and design activities to support network deployments
- Conduct site visits and field validations to ensure design accuracy
- Collaborate with internal planners, designers, and construction teams
- Review and update as-built documentation as necessary
- Support ongoing network expansion and upgrades throughout Northern BC
