Join Rodeo FX as a Temporary Contract Animation Artist and be a key contributor to our high-end, hyper-realistic animated projects! You will create captivating performances for creatures, characters, and animated objects, showcasing your expertise in timing, weight, and emotion. Collaborate closely with our Animation Lead and Supervisor to ensure that each shot aligns with our artistic vision, technical standards, and tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Master Your Craft: Produce polished animation that fulfills both creative vision and production requirements.
- Exhibit a profound understanding of animation fundamentals—timing, weight, arcs, and posing—across diverse styles.
- Quickly adapt to various animation contexts, whether dealing with realistic creatures, mechanical objects, or stylized characters.
Creative Quality:
- Translate creative direction and reference materials into nuanced, expressive performances.
- Suggest innovative ideas and movement choices to enrich the storytelling and overall impact of each shot.
- Constructively incorporate feedback to enhance the quality of your animation.
Technical Quality:
- Deliver clean, functional, and export-ready animation for downstream processes.
- Proactively identify and address rigging or scene-related challenges in partnership with technical teams.
- Adhere to naming conventions, file structures, and technical specifications in line with pipeline standards.
Communication:
- Provide realistic time estimates and communicate promptly about issues or potential delays, collaborating with production to adjust priorities as necessary.
- Maintain transparent communication with production, leads, and other departments for smooth handoffs and effective problem-solving.
- Proactively identify roadblocks and suggest feasible solutions when faced with technical or creative challenges.
- Participate actively in daily reviews, presenting your work clearly and responding to feedback.
