Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor, the Temporary Housing Coordinator will facilitate move-in assistance and housing retention services throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. This role involves direct engagement with tenants and case managers to ensure lasting housing stability, ultimately breaking the cycle of homelessness. The Housing Coordinator will promote tenant well-being and maintain unit habitability through regular home visits—weekly, monthly, and quarterly. Responsibilities include collaborating with property providers and case managers to resolve conflicts, prevent evictions, and address housing-related concerns. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of trauma-informed care principles, dedicated to fostering a safe and empowering environment for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate client move-ins into scattered-site supportive housing units.
- Collaborate with Intensive Case Management Services providers and property managers to facilitate rapid leasing and promote housing stability.
- Assist the Housing Acquisition Specialist team with housing placements and assignments.
- Maintain client application reviews and tracking systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure tenant well-being and unit habitability.
