Our expertise in adversarial red teaming, comprehensive model evaluations, and strategic intelligence collection empowers engineering, safety, and security teams to proactively address emerging threats and ensure the secure deployment of AI systems.
The Investigations Team at 10a Labs is expanding and is seeking additional support to address urgent safety incidents and conduct thorough investigations across various abuse domains, including but not limited to violence, hate speech, mental health issues, CBRNE, child safety, cyber abuse, and beyond.
About the Role:
As a Threat Investigator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Investigations Team. Your responsibilities will include detecting and responding to malicious activities, conducting investigations into reported incidents, drafting detailed reports based on your findings, and providing actionable recommendations. This position requires a robust technical background in investigating threat actors, harmful behavior, and other related activities. Proficiency in SQL and Python is essential for querying, transforming, and analyzing data. Furthermore, you will address escalations and reactive leads that may not be captured by our existing safety systems.
Be advised that investigations may involve sensitive and distressing content, including sexual, violent, or otherwise disturbing material.
This position requires being on-call to manage urgent escalations outside of regular working hours, which may include evenings and weekends. The standard on-call schedule is 7 consecutive days every 2 months, though this may vary based on operational requirements, and candidates should be prepared for flexibility.
This role is fully remote and full-time.
In this position, you will:
- Proactively identify and re-engage bad actors on our platform.
- Investigate potentially policy-violating activities by querying internal data sources (using SQL and Python) and cross-referencing open-source information (OSINT).
- Document and communicate investigative findings to internal stakeholders.
