Join our dynamic Finance team in Brisbane as a Trade Finance Coordinator, working collaboratively with our Marketing team in Singapore. Reporting directly to the Manager of Sales Operations, you will be instrumental in managing the full spectrum of transactional activities that ensure our export sales are executed with precision, efficiency, and security.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee all trade finance processes, including commercial invoicing, shipping documentation, and associated risk management. You will also be responsible for managing cash flow, aged debtors, and month-end reporting requirements for the business and Joint Venture partners.
This position is essential to maintaining robust cash flow, minimizing risk exposure, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for coal shipments, including Bills of Lading and shipping documents.
- Ensure that all origination and export documentation complies with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Accurately calculate pricing in accordance with contract terms and prepare commercial invoices, including quality-related penalties or adjustments.
- Implement effective trade finance instruments to mitigate risks, such as Letters of Credit and Bills of Exchange.
- Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on overdue payments, and work to minimize debtor days.
- Prepare detailed reports, including Joint Venture sales, working capital, forecast reporting, pre-shipment coal quality testing reports, and aged debtor reports.
- Collaborate closely with internal Sales, Group Credit Risk and Treasury departments, as well as external banks, trade finance partners, and coal sales customers.
- Act as a primary point of contact for trade finance inquiries and documentation.
