Embark on Your Trading Career:
Launch your career in trading and quantitative finance with Akuna Capital's prestigious Trading Immersion Program. This selective internship will provide you with an unparalleled opportunity to immerse yourself in the dynamic world of trading.
Over the course of two weeks, you will engage in an in-person experience at our Sydney office, gaining foundational exposure to authentic trading environments, desk rotations, and hands-on learning tailored to facilitate your exploration of a potential future as a Trader or Quantitative Analyst at Akuna.
This program is not just a learning opportunity; it serves as a potential pathway to secure full-time positions in Sydney upon graduation for students who showcase strong performance, intellectual curiosity, and trading intuition.
Internship Details:
- Location: Sydney, NSW
- Duration: 2 weeks (on-site)
Applicants must be available for one of the following internship cohorts:
- Cohort 1: Monday 11 May 2026 – Friday 22 May 2026
- Cohort 2: Monday 29 June 2026 – Friday 10 July 2026

Program Experience:
This immersive program combines fast-paced learning with real-world trading exposure and mentorship. You will experience:
- Akuna’s trading environment, market-making operations, and desk workflows
- Trading concepts through a blend of self-guided learning and interactive sessions
- Practical market experience via simulations, desk exposure, and shadowing opportunities
- Mentorship and constructive feedback from seasoned traders and quantitative professionals
- A short, exploratory project aimed at enhancing your market intuition and analytical skills
Who We Are Looking For:
We seek curious, analytical, and driven students eager to learn about the practical applications of quantitative trading.
This program is intended for students who are:
- Graduating between August 2026 and July 2027
- Enthusiastic about pursuing a career in trading, quantitative research, or related fields
- Possessing strong numerical reasoning, pattern recognition, and problem-solving abilities
- Equipped with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of thriving under pressure in a fast-paced team environment
