As a Traffic Control Flagger at AWP Safety, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of both our team and the public at various job sites. This position requires no prior experience or formal education, as we provide comprehensive training to equip you with the necessary skills. Your safety is our top priority, and we are committed to supporting your career growth.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
Setting up and dismantling traffic control equipment, including cones, signs, and barricades.
Utilizing a stop/slow paddle to effectively guide traffic while closely monitoring site activity.
Adhering to all safety protocols as outlined in training.
Maintaining clear communication with your crew and supervisor.
Assisting in the upkeep of vehicles and equipment to ensure they are clean and safe.
Working outdoors throughout the year, regardless of weather conditions.
Being flexible with shifts, which may include nights, weekends, or emergency response as needed.
Standing or walking for durations of 8 to 12 hours during your shift.
We provide essential safety gear, including a hard hat, safety goggles, a safety vest, a whistle, walkie-talkie, and cold/hot weather clothing. You will need to supply your own steel-toe boots that rise above the ankle.
