Traffic Project Engineer
We are excited to announce a career opportunity for a Project Engineer within our Transportation team. This role involves collaborating on a variety of transportation projects with state and local transportation agencies. As a Project Engineer, you will conduct engineering analyses and produce supporting documentation related to traffic safety and operations. Additionally, you will coordinate the drafting of project deliverables for various clients. The ideal candidate will possess experience in traffic and safety, along with a comprehensive understanding of local and MassDOT standards.
Location
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with in-office collaboration based in our Boston location.
Your Impact
- Develop and implement project work plans
- Oversee project analysis and deliverables
- Collaborate effectively with team members, senior staff, and external clients
- Engage with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders
- Represent Benesch at industry events and professional gatherings
Desired Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent field
- A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in civil transportation and traffic engineering
- Active PE license in Massachusetts or a plan to obtain licensure within one year
- PTOE License is advantageous!
- Experience collaborating with public agencies and municipalities; previous MassDOT experience is preferred
- In-depth experience in developing plans, analyses, and reports in accordance with MassDOT standards
