Your Role as a Transit Ambassador
Join us at Benesch! We are seeking dedicated individuals to serve as Transit Ambassadors on an on-call basis in the Baltimore area, contributing positively to the community and the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA). This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking for temporary employment to supplement their income. *Please note this position is with a third-party contractor and does not include benefits.
The ideal candidate will possess significant knowledge of public transportation within the city, including Bus, Light Rail, and Metro systems. As a Transit Ambassador, you will be trained to assist MTA customers with disabilities, ensuring equitable access to transit facilities. Responsibilities will include directing customers at stations, assisting with boarding vehicles, and helping with fare vending machines. In addition, you will conduct inspections of transit station facilities to maintain cleanliness and safety. Another key responsibility involves providing customer support during construction-related bus detours and shuttles.
Compensation is set at $17.53 per hour.
