- Understand operational requirements prior to delegating tasks.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with drivers.
- Oversee breakdown coordination.
- Efficiently manage driver schedules by assigning additional tasks during the day.
- Communicate updates on issues or delays to all departments, managing customer expectations to meet service levels.
- Ensure quality administration by keeping all departments informed.
- Recognize individual driver skills and capabilities.
- Provide out-of-hours emergency assistance on a rota basis, typically every 54 days.
- Conduct meetings with drivers to foster rapport and address any concerns.
- Address any driver grievances promptly.
- Ensure that all tasks in the system are properly planned and allocated.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.
