Are you a skilled technician looking for an exciting travel opportunity? Join TEKsystems as a Travel Cable Technician and work across various locations in the United States. This role demands full-time travel, where you'll install low-voltage wiring and equipment including IP cameras, Wireless Access Points, Routers, and Switches. Expect to be on the road for 2 to 8 months at a time.
We are in search of highly motivated self-starters who excel in teamwork. As a Travel Technician, you’ll work closely with a partner throughout the project duration. If you have someone in mind to accompany you, we are open to considering them as well.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and terminate low-voltage cables.
- Set up network equipment in commercial environments.
- Adhere to installation protocols and codes during cable pulls.
- Execute cable runs in commercial buildings, including drilling and conduit work.
- Ensure cables are securely tied and organized according to safety standards.
- Install cable support structures such as j-hooks, racks, and inner ducts.
- Conduct tests to verify the functionality of newly installed cable systems.
- Troubleshoot any network issues.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
- Comply with all safety requirements set by clients and OSHA.
