About the job
Are you passionate about helping organizations gain control over absenteeism? Do you enjoy providing exceptional support to clients? Whether you're a fresh graduate eager to embark on a career or someone looking to advance into a coaching role, the position of Verzuimcoach at Howden is perfect for you!
Your Role:
As a Verzuimcoach, you will serve as a key advisor to employers on absenteeism matters. You will provide guidance on ongoing cases, contribute to the development of absenteeism policies, and identify trends and challenges within organizations. Your perspective will encompass not just individual cases but also the broader landscape: where are the risks, and what opportunities exist to systematically reduce absenteeism?
If you're starting your career, you will begin with supportive and administrative tasks to gradually familiarize yourself with the field. This includes processing changes, preparing case files, and assisting colleagues with client communications. From there, you will progress to a more advisory role with increasing responsibilities.
In this role, you will balance various interests. On one hand, you will represent the insurer's interests, focusing on managing claims costs. On the other hand, you will work alongside employers to help them mitigate and prevent absenteeism. By maintaining this balance, you will achieve sustainable solutions and genuinely advance organizations over the long term.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues, clients, and external partners such as occupational health services and insurers. Together, you will ensure continuous process improvements, fostering growth and development for both clients and the organization.
Your Weekly Schedule:
50% Client contact via email and phone
25% Administration
15% Contact with partners (Occupational Health, Insurer)
10% Peer reviews with colleagues
Our Team and Organization:
As a Verzuimcoach, you will play a vital role within the Employee Benefits team at our Tilburg location. Together, we focus on supporting and advising on absenteeism-related matters. Our team consists of nine members, and we typically work two days in the office and the remainder from home. When in the office, we enjoy having lunch together and taking walks.
