The Veterinary Kennel Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of animals in our care at Lefferts Animal Hospital. Responsibilities include:
Providing care, feeding, and medication for animals in our hospital and boarding facility.
Maintaining cleanliness through cleaning, laundry, and bathing procedures.
Walking dogs and ensuring their physical activity.
Restocking hospital supplies and assisting with post-operative patient care.
Supporting veterinarians and assistants with animal restraint during exams.
Keeping accurate records of medications, special dietary needs, and any behavioral changes or health issues observed.
Receiving training in the cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments.
