Position Overview
- The Receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of our high-performing organization, delivering exceptional service and care to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service in person and over the phone, even in high-pressure situations.
- Manage the flow of the lobby, address client concerns, calm distressed pet owners, and schedule appointments efficiently.
- Provide assistance during basic medical emergencies for pets, ensuring safety and well-being.
- Support medication pickups, respond to inquiries, and share information about our services and products.
- Utilize practice management software to input and manage data related to billing and accounts.
- Assist with retail sales, weigh pets, process faxes, and maintain accurate records.
- Reconcile the cash drawer and complete end-of-day financial tasks accurately.
Qualifications (Required)
- High school diploma or GED required, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
- General experience in phone and customer service.
- Familiarity with clerical procedures and strong organizational skills for managing files and records.
- Excellent customer service skills, ensuring courteous and prompt assistance.
- Proficient in cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Strong multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work at a workstation for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, and lifting animals up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Prior experience in a veterinary hospital setting is a significant advantage!
Schedule: The work schedule includes a rotation of 4 days from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM, and every other Saturday from 8 AM to 12 PM.
