In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the development, negotiation, and management of global roaming agreements, ensuring the delivery of competitive rates and high-quality service.
Your expertise in building and nurturing relationships with mobile network operators (MNOs) worldwide will be vital in enhancing the company's financial and operational success. The VP of Carriers will play a crucial role in optimizing gross margins, thereby contributing to the overall growth of the business.
Role Overview
As the Vice President of Carriers, you will lead and scale the global carrier strategy to support the burgeoning eSIM market. This executive role entails overseeing the comprehensive development, negotiation, and management of agreements with MNOs, guaranteeing optimal service quality, coverage, and pricing across diverse regions.
In this leadership position, you will be responsible for driving initiatives that enhance gross margin, optimize carrier relationships, and streamline operational efficiencies. Success requires a profound understanding of the telecom ecosystem, exceptional negotiation capabilities, and the ability to align technical, operational, and commercial goals. You will manage a high-performing team and promote strong cross-functional collaboration to foster continuous improvement in carrier performance and cost optimization.
This role is instrumental in enabling the scalability and profitability of our client's global connectivity solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the global strategy for partnerships with mobile network operators (MNOs) and roaming platforms to facilitate international roaming services via eSIMs.
- Negotiate high-value commercial agreements with carriers, securing competitive pricing and advantageous terms.
- Identify and cultivate new partnership opportunities with carriers in key and emerging markets.
- Establish and sustain senior-level relationships with telecom stakeholders to ensure long-term collaboration.
- Optimize existing agreements to enhance margins, service quality, and coverage.
- Manage and mentor a global team of carrier and wholesale relationship managers, divided into Business Development and Account Management and Carrier Operations Managers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and marketing teams to support product expansion and technical integration.
- Monitor and analyze key KPIs related to roaming performance, cost structure, and carrier effectiveness.
- Represent the company at major industry events and conferences.
