Qualifications
The Vision Rehabilitation Specialist will be responsible for assessing clients' independent living needs, developing tailored living plans, and teaching adaptive skills across various domains including personal management, household management, communication, leisure activities, and mobility skills. Key responsibilities include:Evaluating the independent living capabilities and requirements of clients.Collaborating with clients to establish and prioritize goals while crafting an individualized independent living plan.Instructing adaptive skills necessary for independent living, including technology training.Assisting clients with the procurement and utilization of assistive devices.Encouraging self-advocacy skills to help clients access community resources and programs.Maintaining comprehensive case data and documentation consistent with VLRC standards.
